Quiz Number 1. During first semester it was a turning poit because I was able to get this kind of grade in the college class. It was when we learned about the 17th and 18th century also known as the colonial time periods. When the British first arrived in the Americas.
This is my second semester essay for the Gilded Age. This essay was about U.S consumerism and how racism increased during the Gilded Age. Businesses were booming for the reason that the government did policies that helped businesses grow even more. We had to answer the question if Progressivism was still continuing during the Gilded Age, but it was hardly enough occurring. Just that some people were having different ideas about society and they became apart of different groups with different beliefs. I was also able to talk about how discrimination was still going on during the Gilded Age, but how they tried to preserve their culture and express their individuality through the types of music they played and paintings they did also known as the Harlem Renaissance. I learned a lot writing about this essay like I need to improve on my choice of specific evidence while also focusing on my analysis.
